Goal 1# being in the best physical shape of my life

So last blog I sat down and wrote three big goals that I would love to achieve in my lifetime. I understand though that in order to reach those three big goals that I need to first break up the goals into smaller ones that are easier to manage. It won’t be easy, and there are going to be events that will make this seem impossible, but you know what? This can happen with a little hard work and some discipline in my life. Discipline something that I seem to be lacking in certain areas of my life, but it is something that I know I can work on.

Therefore, in my last blog my first big goal was to be in the best physical shape that I can be in.  Now I know that is a big, loft goal to reach considering when you look back at my life I always was the fat over weight kid, and it moved into my adult life. Now though instead of being the fat over weight kid now I am the fat over weight adult. However, I am working on changing that over the last seven years of my life I have lost around fifty pounds. However, it is nowhere close to where I want to me. As I sit here typing I am still around 220 pounds and still very much out of shape.

So now, it is time to set some goals to reach my goal of being in the best physical shape of my life

Run a tougher mudder event
Be able to have a baby

Each of those goals is still big goals to reach however; each one of them broken down can be reached in a certain amount of time. Each goal will get me closer to my goals of being in the best physical shape of my life.

Run a marathon
So in order to run a marathon I need to start small. I need to focus on the first step of being able to run at all. As I am writing this blog, I am actually in my second week of the C25K running program. Anyone that is out there that is not a runner, but wants to be I would recommend looking into it. It is a great program to get you started.

After I finish the c25k, running my plans is to take a few weeks and allow myself to get into the routine of running thirty minutes a day three day a week. From there my plan is to keep using the running programs and move up to the 10k then half marathon and finally to finish it off with the full marathon training. In between each program, I plan to take breaks from training and to focus on what I learn. I also plan to do research for different races that will help me reach my over all goal of the marathon finish.

Therefore, while my big goal is to run a marathon I have many smaller goals for along the way. As I attack each goal, I will talk about it more.

Run a tougher mudder event
That is something I have always wanted to do. I ran the warrior dash a few years but and I kick my self in the butt for not keeping up with my training on that. For my tougher mudder training on my off running days, I have been adding in some crossfit training that I have found free online. It seems to be helping a lot to get myself started. I am planning down the road to invest in some more beachbody programs to help on top of looking into joining a crossfit gym. Right now I am tight on money though so until then I am going to keep going with my at home workout that I find online.

To be able to have a baby
The main reason for this goal is to be able to finally have a baby. I am a true believe the reason I am not a mother yet is my weight.  Therefore, by reaching the best shape that I can be in I will helpfully reach a very important goal of being able to have children. For this one I am really focusing on my diet.  I need to lower carbs intake from my diet. Which I am going to be honest with you guys at the moment that is very hard to do.  Money wise I am pretty tight and use a lot of food pantries and stuff to get food. They tend to love to give carbs out as free food. However, I am trying to limit the amount that I eat.  I am not using my situation as an excuse because I know that it can be done. I am learning as I go and I will end up reaching the end goals.


So now that I broken down my over all goal of reaching the best physical shape of my life I have a starting block of where I need to start and go in order to hit the goals. They will not be easy and there a chance over time I am going to have to change it around in order to reach my goals. However, they are set and I am on the right path.
